Mello Joy creates special blend for Chef John Besh, Restaurant August - Wednesday, April 01, 2009

Lafayette, La. — Mello Joy Coffee Company has teamed up with famed Chef John Besh to create the Besh Blend, a special coffee only available in Besh’s Restaurant August in the French Quarter, New Orleans.
“The Besh Blend is not found anywhere else, aside from that New Orleans restaurant,” Mello Joy President Pat Pettijohn said. “Fine dining and food are such an integral part of New Orleans and Louisiana culture, and I think this partnership will continue to open more doors for Mello Joy.”
Besh is an award-winning chef and restauranteur, named one of Food & Wine’s Top 10 Chefs in America in 1999. His Restaurant August was named one of the Top 50 Restaurants by Gourmet Restaurant and was included in the publication’s Guide to America’s Best Restaurants.
Restaurant August, 301 Tchoupitoulas St., New Orleans, is a fine-dining, contemporary French restaurant with a focus on local ingredients. Mello Joy is a Lafayette, La.-based coffee company and home to the Original Cajun Coffee.
